The Play That Goes Wrong is a fun, goofy, and mysterious play coming to Triton High School. The play is directed by Jennifer Ryg, with Anthony Bendickson serving as the set designer. This play features a talented cast and a skilled backstage crew. The play will be performed in the PAC at Triton High School on November 20th-22nd at 7 p.m. Everyone has been working hard to get this play up and rolling, and everyone is looking forward to the show!
At the center of this funny play is a mystery, which quickly turns into a hilarious disaster. Senior Frankie Gann, playing Sandra, describes the play as ”a classic whodunnit that delightfully unravels into chaos. It’s an absolute blast to be a part of and even more fun to watch.” But what exactly makes a play successful? For a play to be successful, you need a cast that works great together, an amazing backstage crew, and strong direction that brings the story to life. Director Jennifer Ryg states, “If it gives student actors a place to grow and a cast comes together as a team, creating something together. That’s what makes a play successful."
Of course, this play wouldn’t be possible without the backstage crew. With props falling and things breaking left and right, a strong crew is well needed. This year's fall play stage manager is Ray Wilson, who says, “My favorite part of being backstage is making sure things go smoothly and seeing the finished product come to life.” The whole team is a huge part of the show and wouldn’t be the same without every single one of them.
With so much hard work, creativity, and teamwork going into The Play That Goes Wrong, it’s sure to be an unforgettable experience for both the cast and the audience. Whether you’re a fan of comedy, mystery, or just love seeing a great show come together, this production promises laughter, surprises, and plenty of fun. Don’t miss your chance to catch the chaos at Triton High School’s PAC from November 20th to 22nd at 7 p.m. — it’s something you're not going to want to miss!
