Since stepping into the role of Superintendent at Kasson-Mantorville Schools, Beth Giese, Superintendent for Kasson-Mantorville Schools has been hard at work for our school district.
Focusing hard and centered on building strong relationships, learning district systems, and reinforcing a culture focused on student success. From the beginning, Beth has prioritized listening and learning, engaging with staff, families, and community members to understand the district’s strengths and identify opportunities for continued growth. These conversations have provided valuable insight into the traditions, expectations, and aspirations that shape the KoMet community.
A major focus of Beths work for the first months has been strengthening communication and collaboration across buildings and departments. Beth has worked to support consistent, transparent decision-making and to ensure that staff have the information they need to feel aligned and supported. This has included refining operational procedures, enhanced safety planning, and improving weather-related decision processes so that student and staff well-being remains at the forefront of every action we take.
In the area of teaching and learning, Beth continues to collaborate closely with district leadership to maintain high-quality academic programming and student support systems. Our early learning, activities, and community education programs continue to demonstrate strong participation and alignment with district goals. These programs play an essential role in supporting the whole child and fostering community engagement, and I am committed to sustaining their momentum.
Visibility and approachability have been guiding principles in Beths leadership. Beth has made it a priority to be present in buildings, attend events, and engage directly with students, staff, and families. These interactions have helped build trust, strengthen relationships, and reinforce a shared commitment to the success of every learner. To further support communication and celebrate the many positive stories within our district.
Beth launched a superintendent Facebook page (@SuptGiese) dedicated to “telling our story” and highlighting the achievements of our students and staff.
Overall, the first months at Kasson-Mantorville Schools have been focused on establishing a strong foundation, supporting the district’s existing strengths, and positioning our schools for continued success.
Beth says she is grateful for the warm welcome I have received and deeply value the opportunity to serve this community. I truly love being here and look forward to contributing to the district’s growth and success for many years to come.
