We wrapped up our 7-on-7 season at MSU-Mankato by winning the 14-team passing league for the 2nd summer in a row.
We defeated NRHEG in the quarterfinals (27-13), Saint Peter who was 9-1 at the time in the semifinals (18-7), and Mankato East who was 10-1 in the finals (26-7). We finished our 7-on-7 season in Mankato by going 10-2. Success at 7-on-7 obviously does not directly result in wins when it counts in the fall, but the skills, understanding of our schemes, and most importantly the competitiveness the boys showed throughout June will carry over come August/September.
Next up for the Cobra Football team is Mini-Camp at Triton High School in July, followed by our team camp at SMSU in Marshall.
