West Concord Area Foundation Announces $10,000 in Grants to Support Local Residents and Businesses

Posted

The newly formed West Concord Area Foundation (WCAF) is proud to announce the distribution of $10,000 in grant funds to local non-profit organizations to support individuals and families in need.

This initiative provides a two-fold impact: offering direct assistance to community members through local non-profits while simultaneously strengthening the local economy. Throughout December, funds will be distributed to area non-profits in the form of West Concord City Bucks and gift cards from local businesses, ensuring that support stays within the community.

WCAF will work directly with the following organizations to distribute assistance in targeted and meaningful ways:

•City of West Concord

•West Concord American Legion

•Faith Community Church

•Trinity Lutheran Church

•West Concord Fire Relief Association

•West Concord Historical Society

•The Cardinal Club of West Concord

•Friends of West Concord

About the West Concord Area Foundation

The West Concord Area Foundation was established in partnership with the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF) in September 2025 by local residents committed to building a stronger and more vibrant West Concord area. WCAF operates under the professional and legal guidance of SMIF.

Our mission is to serve West Concord and neighboring townships by supporting programs and projects that improve quality of life for people of all ages and strengthen the community for current and future generations.

Although still in its early stages, the Foundation is extremely proud to make this first financial investment in the community—supporting both local families and local businesses.

Our website and email are currently under development. For now, we may be contacted by mail at:
