I hope you have found some time to be outside and appreciate the amazing fall season. It is my favorite season of the year when the fall colors are brilliantly on display. It is also the harvest season, and we learn about the yield from the crops and what impact the weather has had on this year’s harvest. We have certainly been blessed with some great weather, but the early rains seem to have impacted several areas. It has been weird knowing that I am in my last year at Triton, and I continue to reflect with pride on our great school district.

I wanted to share my thoughts on the outstanding learning environment we’ve cultivated here at Triton Public Schools. Our upcoming Profile of a Graduate (POG) Celebration is a wonderful example of the great dedication of our teachers to support the engagement of our students on the important attributes of the POG. Our students continue to demonstrate their commitment to academic excellence. From impressive growth on assessments, to their willingness to engage in concurrent courses, the dedication to learning is evident in every classroom. Our teacher’ tireless efforts to create engaging, challenging curricula are paying off, as we see students pushing themselves to new heights of achievement.

One of the highlights of our fall calendar is the Community Service Clean-Up Day. Students from grades 9-12 come together to beautify our town, earning valuable volunteer hours while making a tangible difference in our community. From raking leaves in elderly neighbors' yards to cleaning up local parks, our students show that they are not just learners but also responsible, caring citizens.

I do believe that one of the strengths of our district is our unique size. As a smaller school we can adapt and adjust to the specific needs of ALL of our students. The POG Celebration is a great example of our ability to recognize students and celebrate their strengths. None of these accomplishments would be possible without our outstanding staff. Their unwavering commitment to our students' success is the backbone of our district's excellence. From innovative teaching methods to countless hours of after-school support, our teachers and staff consistently go above and beyond to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive.

As we move deeper into the school year, I'm excited about the many opportunities that lie ahead. Our district continues to explore new ways to enhance learning experiences, support student well-being, and strengthen our community ties.To our students, staff, parents, and community members: thank you for your continued support and dedication. Together, we are creating an educational environment where everyone can be the best they can be. Let's embrace the spirit of the harvest season – a time of abundance, gratitude, and coming together. Here's to another fantastic year of growth, learning, and achievement in our district!

Please reach out to me with any questions that you may have regarding our school district. You can email me at schlich@triton.k12.mn.us or you can call me at 507-418-7530 to reach me at the district office. I would be happy to set up a time to meet with you or your organization. Communication is an important aspect of my job responsibility, and I welcome the opportunity to gain experience from your perspective. GO COBRAS!
