The special meeting was held at the City of West Concords Bell Tower Center (401 Main Street)
PRESENT: Mayor Jeffrey McCool, Councilmember Crystal Nielsen and Councilmember Collin Ripley.
ALSO PRESENT: Administrator Kimberly Klejeski, City Clerk-Treasurer Lauren Highfill, Fire Department Chief Chad Finne and Ambulance Director Peter Moen.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Citizens of the City of West Concord expressed concern regarding the suspension of the Ambulance service. The City of West Concord and Chief Chad Finne and Ambulance Director Peter Moen were present to present their request to the City Council and answer questions from the public. Peter Moen and Chad Finne clarified with the public that the Ambulance Service was seeking a temporary 6-month contract with the Dodge Center Ambulance to provide daytime Ambulance Services Monday through Friday between the hours of 5:00am and 5:00pm due to volunteer staffing shortages. In addition, it was communicated that first responders will be on call as available during the contracted hours to first respond to medical emergencies.
RESOLUTION 2024-01 RESOLUTION APPROVING MN/DOT AGREEMENT NUMBER 1054839
A Motion was made to approve Resolution 2024-01 with the Mn/DOT for Agreement Number 1054839 Project S.P 2006-32 (T.H.56), Agreement Number 1054839 by resolution. Construction on this project is expected to begin in 2024 on Trunk Highway Number 56 from CSAH 24 to Southview St in the City of West Concord.
